3 THINGS to share:
 
1.) the SEASON:
I received quite a few questions about this, so…. I would like to take a moment to reassure everyone that this year’s softball season is going ahead as planned. Whether we had 2 teams or 20 teams, our hope as committee was really that we would be able to accommodate everyone who wanted to be a part of the league for this year. And the most awesome thing is…. God has truly blessed us again this year – we have a fantastic captains team and we are excited to get this season started! So thank you for your continual support, and we hope that you will keep this league in your prayers (even if you’re not playing!).
 
2.) PLAYER application status:
In regards to the player applications, we are still processing them at the moment. If you have been placed on a waiting list, we will notify you through email.
 
Refund procedures:
Last day to request a refund (for all accepted player applications) is May 31, 2011 (note the date change). Please send an email to mcbcsl@gmail.com and refund methods will be arranged.
 
Waitlist procedures:
We are still accepting player applications. Your name will be placed on a waiting list and if we are not able to place you on a team for the season, you will receive your application and payment back.
 
3.) and LASTLY…… a very IMPORTANT note:
It has come to our attention that we are receiving applications from players who have unavailable dates for an extended period of time during the season. If you plan on missing 3 or more games in the regular season, unfortunately, either 1.) you will be waitlisted and priority will be given to players who have full availability or 2.) during the season, you may be asked not to play in the year-end tournament. One of your obligations as a player is to attend all games and devotionals. When you do not show up for your team events, it affects the dynamics of the team and makes it difficult for your volunteer captains, who work very hard to make this season fun for everyone. We understand there will be reasons why you cannot attend some events, and in this case, please make sure you let your captains know early so they can plan accordingly. However, pleeeeaaaase (try your best to) show up!

2.) Location: Mississauga Chinese Baptist Church
3.) Time: Anytime between 10am-2pm
4.) What to bring for registration: Completed registration form (view right toolbar to download player form), money ($45 season fee + $5 for new tshirt), old tshirt labelled with your name (if you plan to reuse from previous years)

Early Bird Registration starts at 6pm.
Registration form is on the right (under MCBCSL docs).

5 Quick Tips for Registration:
1.) Please print clearly on your registration form.
2.) Please read the waiver section carefully and sign. If you are under 18, please get your parent/ guardian to read the section and then sign.
3.) Please bring exact change (if paying by cash) and/or remember to sign your cheque (if paying by cheque).
4.) Please bring your old t-shirt (if you are reusing from previous years). If you do not have your shirt, your registration will be considered incomplete and your registration will be added to the end of the list until your t-shirt is in.
5.) Please label your t-shirt so we know that it belongs to you.

Planning for the 2011 MCBCSL softball season has already begun and we’re looking for captains!

Is God asking you to be a captain?
Are you curious and wondering what it’s like to be a captain?
Would like to return as a captain again?

If you’ve answered yes to any of those questions, just fill out the captain application form (please see the side bar for link) and send it back to wnchung@gmail.com or give it to your church liaison listed below. The forms are due by WEDNESDAY APRIL 27, 2011.

If you are uncertain as to whether you should captain or not, please connect with me or a previous captain and we would be glad to answer any questions/concerns you may have. And above all else, pray about your decision and seek God’s guidance on your role for the season.

If you’ve decided not to be a captain this year but know someone who would be interested, please forward this email to them It’s going to be another exciting season and you guys are the ones that will make it happen…so make it happen!
